Chris Morgan.
As MW Smart Homes’ CEO, Chris focuses on company marketing, organising the on-site teams, and meeting with prospective clients. He is passionate about growing the business and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Chris’ role model is his dad, who ran his own business for many years whilst maintaining a good work life balance. Chris aspires to maintain the same work life balance and loves to spend his down time with his two young daughters.
The most enjoyable part of his working life is spending time getting to know their clients and building long lasting relationships with them as they develop the smart technology in their homes. Chris feels great satisfaction from installing the best possible solution to each client, that is within their budget and improves their home life.
The most challenging aspect of his role is familiarising himself with emerging technology and programming new products.
When he was younger, Chris toyed with the idea of being a professional footballer or a golfer, but realistically he knew being an electrician and running his own business was the right choice for him. After college he went into the electrical industry and gained enough knowledge and experience to become a freelance contractor. Chris met Luca at college, and starting a business together was the next logical step in their careers.
Chris is fanatical about lighting systems, especially high-quality Lutron smart home lighting that can be programmed to suit the needs of each client. He also loves his garden audio system and enjoys receiving compliments on the sound quality from his guests.
We asked Luca how he would describe Chris in three words, and he said: “driven, approachable and honest.”
Luca Wrona.
As Managing Director of MW Smart Homes, Luca oversees the company’s finances and admin, and undertaking research of new products and programming updates. Working with a Business Coach, Luca focuses on company growth by achieving set goals and following a comprehensive business plan.
Luca is inspired to succeed by the sense of achievement he feels from his own drive and determination. He also thrives on the satisfaction of providing a happy home for his partner Stacy and his two children. Luca is very proud of the business and the life he has created for his family.
Luca’s work satisfaction comes from seeing the final smart technology solution installed and the products working well. Knowing that the whole team have done a good job and that the client is happy gives him a huge sense of pride.
The most challenging aspects of his work are keeping up with the new trends in the smart tech industry and finding the best solution for each project. Integrating new tech into existing systems involves a lot of research but finding the solution to a client’s dilemma is very rewarding.
After attending college, Luca joined an apprenticeship scheme at Southern Electric, where he continued to work for 11 years. He went on to become a self-employed subcontractor for a few years before starting MW Smart Homes with Chris.
As part of their continual development and learning, both Luca and Chris have completed Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) training and specific manufacturing training for the products used in all their installations.
Luca is passionate about home cinema systems. He appreciates all aspects of audio and visual equipment that deliver superior surround sound and high-quality images. His dream is to install a bespoke cinema system into his own home.
We asked Chris how he would describe Luca in three words, and he said: “fun, personable and reliable.”
